Landscape and Cityscape Photography

Golden hour: The time of day shortly after sunrise or before the sunset.

Foreground: An object in the image that seems the closest to the camera.

Middleground: The space between the foreground and the background.

Background: An object or part of the image that is farhtest from the camera.

Landscape: An image that shows land and nature.

Cityscape: An image that sshows towns/cities and urban areas.

Landscape Tips:
1.Get up early
2. Look all around you
3. Take more than one
4. Bad weather is ok
5. Listen to your gut
6. Have a story for your picture

I chose this picture because I like how the colors go together well and it looks like a calm beach scene. I think the photographer used a tripod to get the picture clear and steady. The time of day is early morning when the sun is rising, he has a straight on view, and the weather is clear.

Cityscape Tips:
1. Capture the whole skyline
2. Use a tripod
3. Look for leading lines
4. Look for patterns
5. Don't be afraid to have people in there
6. Before/after sunrise and sunset are perfect times

I chose this picture because i like the old vintage look. The photographer stood on the tracks and took the photo. The time of day is probably around noon, the weather is  a little cloudy, maybe after or before some rain.

Which are you going to pursue and why?
Cityscape because I like the city and town looks.

Where are you going to go?

In town Williamston or Okemos.

What time of day?

Noon or in the evening.

From what angle?

Straight on.

What would be your choice of weather?

Clear and sunny or even sprinkling.

Are you going to use panoramic mode? Why or why not?

Maybe, it all depends on the image I want to take.

Where could you utilize lines/patterns/etc?

In the background or even in the middleground.
